GATE 2019 Details

GATE exam 2019 will be conducted tentatively in the first and second week of February 2019. The mode of examination will be online. The exam will be conducted for total 23 papers. GATE 2019 exam will include both multiple choice and numerical answer type questions and will be of 3 hours duration. The paper will be of 100 marks. The general aptitude part will be common to each paper.

Marking Scheme of GATE 2019 Exam

#Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark- 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of two marks- 2/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer
#For unattempted questions 0 marks will be awarded
#There will be no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

General Aptitude (GA) Section GATE 2019

The question paper of GATE 2019 will consist of General Aptitude (GA) section. Some important things to note about general aptitude section are-
#The general aptitude section will consist of total 10 questions
#Out of these 10 questions, 5 questions will be of 1 mark and remaining 5 questions will be of 2 marks.
#Therefore this section will be of total 15 marks [(5x1)+(5x2)=15)].
