This is very interesting interactive simulation of wave motion on a string. Here the motion of a wave on a string is explained by varying various parameters like amplitude, frequency, damping and tension of the string.
You can observe the changes in the wave motion on changing these parameters.
I have performed the experiment by keeping the other end of the string as fixed end, loose end and no end. In this experiment waves on the string have been produced manually, by continuous oscillations and by giving a pulse to the string.
This video has been created by using PhET interactive simulations. It is a project at the University of Colorado Boulder. PhET is a non profit open educational resources project.
