Refraction of Light | Total Internal Reflection (TIR) | Refractive Index and Snell's Law | PhET Simulations

Here You will learn the basics of refraction of light. The concept of Total Internal Reflection (TIR) and Critical Angle has also been discussed here.
You will know, what we mean by the refractive index (the index of refraction) of a medium.
This is a simulation of refraction of light that shows, what happens when we change the refractive index of the medium.
The change in velocity of light and intensity of light has also been demonstrated in this animation of refraction of light.

What is Refraction of Light

When a light ray travels from one medium to another medium (having different refractive index) its direction changes. This phenomenon is known as the refraction of light.
This simulation of refraction of light has been created by using PhET simulations.
