This simulation of electromagnetic induction explains the concept of induced EMF in a coil, when there is a relative motion between the bar magnet and the coil.
The formula of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction has been made clear experimentally with the help of this simulation.
At the end of this video, it explains the Lenz Law with simulation.
After watching this video you will understand that, negative sign used in the formula of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction is because of the Lenz's law.
This simulation video has been created by using phet simulations (PhET Sims).
Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction
According to the Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction, if a conductor is placed in a varying magnetic field then EMF (electromotive force) is induced in the conductor. If the conductor circuit is closed then current is induced which is called as induced current. This induced EMF is equal to the rate of change of flux linkage with the coil.Lenz's Law definition
Lenz's law states that the direction of the induced current produced in this phenomenon is such that the magnetic field produced by this induced current opposes the magnetic field that produced it.Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction and Lenz's Law Simulation
