The Largest Black Hole Discovered has Mass equal to 17 Billion Suns and is Located inside the Galaxy NGC 1277 in the Constellation Perseus

Astronomers have discovered a Supermassive Black Hole that may be the most massive black hole ever known. The size and mass of this black hole will make you insane. This black hole is located inside the Galaxy NGC 1277 which is about 250 million light years away from Earth in the constellation Perseus.
The mass of this black hole is unbelievably high. It is equivalent to the mass of 17 billion suns !!!
Now get ready to know the size of this supermassive black hole. This monstrous black hole is about 11 times as wide as the Orbit of Neptune around our Sun.

According to scientists, the mass of a normal black hole is only about 0.1% of the mass of its host Galaxy but in this case it is not so. This Supermassive black hole makes up about 14% of it's host galaxy's mass, which is a unique case in itself.
The mass of this giant black hole is so far above normal that the scientists took a year to double- check and submit their research paper for publication. According to the study's lead author, Remco van den Bosch.
"The first time I calculated it, I thought I must have done something wrong. We tried it again with the same instrument, then a different instrument. Then I thought, maybe something else is happening” said van den Bosch, an astronomer at Germany's Max Planck institute for Astronomy.
