What is Butterfly Effect

Would you believe, if I say, a person present in another country far away from you has direct and very strong connection with you. That person might have had very deep impact on your life or would have in future. Yes it is possible and its reverse is also true. It means, Your actions might have strongly influenced a single or many persons in some way. Interesting thing is, you may not be even aware of it, how you have changed someone's life completely.
Actually everything in the universe, living or nonliving, is strongly connected with each other.
To understand, how it happens, you need to watch this very interesting video completely.
This is actually the butterfly effect. But why this is known as butterfly effect?

Why it is called the Butterfly Effect

Actually an American mathematician, Edward Norton Lorenz, said in a theory, “when a butterfly flutters its wings in one part of the world it can eventually cause a hurricane in another.”
So the butterfly effect is an idea that says that a very small change at some point in Time can have a very big impact in future. That is the reason, why time travel is considered dangerous, because if a time traveler to the past interferes with the things and people, it could have a very bad impact later on.
If we consider everything happening in this world as waves, then even very small changes made in any wave can cause change in the equations of all the other waves.
According to Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
“It used to be thought that the events that changed the world were things like big bombs, maniac politicians, huge earthquakes, or vast population movements, but it has now been realized that this is a very old-fashioned view held by people, totally out of touch, with modern thought. The things that change the world, according to Chaos theory, are the tiny things. A butterfly flaps its wings in the Amazonian jungle, and subsequently a storm ravages half of Europe.”
Now I will give you one very interesting example of butterfly effect that changed the world forever!

Example of Butterfly Effect

Here I will tell you how the kindness of a man became the cause of death of at least 40 million innocent people. A man named as Henry Tandey was in France in 1918. He was fighting for the British Army. While performing his duty, Tandey saw one injured German soldier, who was trying to flee. As the Soldier was already injured, Tandey could not bear to kill him and decided to spare his life, But his small work of kindness had the hidden butterfly effect that turned into the Holocaust with time.
Do you know who was that seemingly harmless injured German? He was the German Dictator Adolf Hitler.
There are many such stories, where small things were responsible for big changes in the world.
In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.

What is Chaos Theory

Actually Chaos theory is a branch of mathematics that focuses on the behavior of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions.
There is certainly at least one butterfly effect in every person’s life, where one small incidence changed their or other person’s life completely.

Share your Butterfly Effect Story

If you too have such story that comes under the butterfly effect and you want to share it with others, then here is the right time and place to let others know about your interesting story. You can write it in the comments section of this video. In this way we will have many stories that will be the great examples of the butterfly effect and certainly a lot can be learned from other person’s life. Thanks in advance.

When I was born,my father named me Annette on hospital birth certificate. My mother saw this. Knowing that my father had had a past girlfriend with that name, she change my name. I am certain my mother carried this resentment towards me my entire life.
This was my " butterfly effect".
