The working principle of different types of Differential amplifiers has been explained in this simulation video with the help of an online circuit simulator software. 
Here you will find the structure and working of differential amplifier (differential input), differential amplifier (common mode input) and differential amplifier (common mode with current source) with the help of waveforms.
As clear by the name itself, a differential amplifier amplifies the difference between two input voltages. 
Differential amplifier is a type of electronic amplifier (analog circuit) with two inputs and one output. 
The output of the differential amplifier is ideally proportional to the difference between the two input voltages.
The differential amplifier suppresses any voltage that is common to the two inputs.
As the name implies, in common mode input, the input voltage applied to both inverting and noninverting inputs is common (same).
For example - noise is an example of common mode voltage as the noise acts equally on both the inputs of the differential amplifier.

astable multivibrator,
In astable multivibrator, the circuit is not stable in either state. The output continually switches from one state to the another state. That is why it is known as astable (not stable) multivibrator. The astable multivibrator functions as a relaxation oscillator.

Monostable multivibrator
In Monostable multivibrator, one state is stable while other state is unstable (transient). The Monostable multivibrator enters into unstable state on applying a trigger pulse but as it is an unstable state, it remains in this state for a short set time and returns to the stable state. Monostable Multivibrator circuit is also known as 'one shot'. The circuit can be used for generating timing period of a fixed duration in response to some external event.

Bistable multivibrator
In bistable multivibrator the circuit is stable in either state. With the help of an external Trigger pulse this circuit can be flipped from one state to another state. The bistable Multivibrator circuit is also known as a flip-flop. These flip flops are used extensively in digital logics. Flip flops are capable of storing 1 bit of information.

What is Ring Modulator (Ring Modulation)

A Ring modulator is an electronic device that is used for ring modulation.

Ring modulation is the implementation of frequency mixing. It is performed by multiplying two signals. One signal is a simple waveform (typically a sine wave) and another signal is the signal that we want to modulate.


Where and Why Ring Modulator is used

Ring modulator can be used to generate double sideband suppressed carrier (DSB SC) wave. DSB SC is a type of amplitude modulation where in the modulated wave contains only two side bands and the carrier wave is suppressed.


Why it is called Ring Modulator

The ring modulator circuit  implements diodes in clockwise or anticlockwise arrangement. Hence it takes the shape of a ring. That's why it is called as the ring modulator.


Ring Modulator Applications

A ring modulator finds applications in music synthesizer or as an effects unit.
The ring modulator heterodynes (frequency mix) two waveforms. The output is the sum and difference of the frequencies that are present in each waveform.

Here you will learn the basic working principle and structure of Schmitt Trigger. 
Schmitt Trigger can convert sine waves into square waves. Applications of Schmitt Trigger are also discussed here.

Schmitt trigger is a comparator circuit with hysteresis implemented by applying positive feedback to the non inverting input of a comparator or differential amplifier.
Schmitt trigger circuit is an active circuit. It can convert an analog signal applied to its input into a digital output signal.
Schmitt trigger contains the term  'trigger' because the output in retains its a value until the input changes sufficiently to trigger a change.
In the non inverting configuration, the output is high when the input is higher than a chosen threshold while the output is low when the input is below a different (lower) threshold. The output retains its value when the input is between the two levels. This duel threshold action is known as hysteresis. It implies that memory is possessed by the Schmitt Trigger. Therefore the Schmitt Trigger can function as a  flip flop or latch (bistable multivibrator). It is possible to interconvert a schmitt trigger and a latch into each other.
Schmitt Trigger devices find applications in signal conditioning, closed loop negative feedback configurations to implement relaxation oscillators, switching power supplies and function generators.

This video explains the simulation of Lissajous Pattern. This video uses online simulation software (Falstad Circuit Simulator) for creating Lissajous patterns. 
Lissajous patterns are the plane curves traced by a point that executes two independent harmonic motions in perpendicular directions. The frequencies of the motion are in the ratio of two integers.
The patterns that appear at the CRO screen on connecting both pairs of the deflection plates (horizontal deflection plates and vertical deflection plates) to two sinusoidal voltages.

In this post we will learn the Basics of Thevenin Theorem and the Equivalent Circuit of Thevenin Theorem along with the Applications and Limitations of Thevenin Theorem.

Thevenin Theorem

According to Thevenin's Theorem, any linear electrical network having voltage sources, current sources and resistances only, can be replaced by an equivalent voltage source (Thevenin's voltage or Vth) in series connection with an equivalent resistance (Thevenin's resistance or Rth).


Thevenin Equivalent Voltage (Vth)

The Thevenin's equivalent voltage (thevenin's voltage, Vth) is the voltage that is obtained at any terminals A-B of the network, with these terminals open circuited.


Thevenin Equivalent Resistance (Rth)

The equivalent resistance (Thevenin's resistance, Rth) which is also known as Norton's resistance, is the resistance between the terminals A-B, when all the ideal voltage sources in the circuit are short circuited and all the ideal current sources are open circuited.


Applications of Thevenin Theorem

With the help of Thevenin's Theorem, it is possible to replace a complex part of the network by a very easy equivalent series circuit.


Limitations of Thevenin Theorem

1. Thevenin Theorem is not applicable to the circuits that contain nonlinear elements like transistors and diodes etc.
2. It is not applicable to the circuits having unilateral elements like diode etc.
3. Thevenin's Theorem cannot be used for the circuits that contain magnetic coupling between load and any other circuit element.
4. It is Not possible to apply the thevenins theorem to the circuits containing load in series or parallel with controlled or dependent sources.
